Byron and Briscoe, Hendrick-Gordon teammates finished 2-3, Roush driver Ty Dillon got 4th, and Martin Truex Jr rounded out the top 5 for Furniture Row. The Wood Brothers driver took home the big pay day and a shovel presented by Tony Stewart. Byron couldn't chase down Blaney though, as the 12 proved to be too dominate once the tracked slickened up. Near the end of the race, William Byron made an aggressive move for second place, and got into Cole Whitt, turning him around. Neither car was damaged and both got righted and continued. A late race spin by Kyle Busch made Chase Elliot spin to avoid him, bringing out the yellow. The final stage looked to be more of the same, with Blaney rocketing out to a big lead. He pulled away from the field, and with no yellows during the stage, won with ease. Ryan Blaney got a great jump to open stage 3, clearing Whitt off of turn 2 to take the lead. Cole Whitt avoided his teammates chicanery and went on to win the stage. On the restart to begin stage 2, Daniel Hemric got into turn 3 too hot, washing up the track into teammate Brad Keselowski and Open winner Ben Rhodes. Stage 1 was clean, with Elliot beating runner up Truex by a little over 2 seconds.

JTG driver Sam Hornish Jr drew pole for the main event, but was quickly dispatched of by Chase Elliot. After seeing the show he put on with Rhodes, the fans voted for Bell to advance to the main event, locking him into the final starting spot. Rhodes made a huge dive into the final corner, and didn't clear Bell, instead shoving him into the wall off 4 to get the win. A 5 lap shootout for all the marbles ensued, with Ben Rhodes and Christopher Bell slide jobbing each other repeatedly. Brennan Poole and Ross Chastain tangled, and Ross was hooked into the wall hard, ending his day. Stage 3 was desperation time, the last chance to assure yourself a bid. Hendrick made it 2 for 2 as Chase Briscoe got to the front and held off Ryan Sieg to advance. Early in stage 2, Wallace spun, but the race stayed green. Byron won the stage and punched his ticket to the show. They stayed that way the entirety of stage 1, with the only event of note being Michael Annett crashing out early.
